Gopal Chandra Memorialcollege of Education

Gopal Chandra Memorial College of Education established on 22 July 1967. Their goal is to provide quality education at a minimum cost in order to ensure social justice and to establish a scientific mindset, cultivate a positive disposition and foster a cultural atmosphere among student-teachers. GCMCE is affiliated with the West Bengal State University, Barasat and the College follows the scholastic and co-scholastic activities as prescribed by the University. GCMCE is NAAC accredited (2nd cycle ) in the year 2016.

Gopal Chandra Memorial College of Education’s vision is to create a Centre of Excellence in Higher Education by imparting information in which in-service and pre-service trainees, athletic, self-reliant, and responsible people, are fit for global competition. Their mission is to develop teachers who are intellectually knowledgeable, morally upright, mentally integrated, and socially committed to service in the developing world education scenario, and also to create a new work culture through teaching, study, and extension to enhance the practice of education. GCMCE admission is merit-based.
