Government Law College, [GLCTVL] Tirunelveli was founded in 1996 to comply with the Tamil Nadu Southernmost Region requirements. GLCTVL operates in a 15-acre area adjacent to the buildings of the District Court on the Tiruchendur-Tuticorin high road.

The institute offers both five year and three-year Undergraduate courses and Post Graduate courses in Constitutional Law and Human Rights. GLCTVL courses are designed to provide students with high-quality law education to help the government maintain the country's integrity. Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BA LLB) is a specialized undergraduate course in Administrative Law. The length of the course is five years and consists of 10 study semesters. This integrated BA LLB syllabus consists of disciplines such as political science, sociology, economics, and English as minor fields of study to complement the broad range of law subjects. Government Law College Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 exam with a minimum 45% of marks which is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu or any equivalent. For S.C./S.T. candidates concession of 5% marks is given
LLB
  • Candidates who have passed a 3-year Degree Examination of Universities in Tamil Nadu or any equivalent after 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern are eligible for admission
LLM
  • Applicants should have passed the B.L. Degree Examination and should not have secured less than 50% of the aggregate marks in all the Three Years of the Three Year B.L. Degree or in all Five Years of the Five Year B.L. Degree Course together. For S.C./S.T. candidates concession of 5% marks is given.
