The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition, [IHM] Shimla offers Diploma and Undergraduate degrees in Diploma in Food Production (DFP), Diploma in Food and Beverage Service (DFBS), and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Hotel Administration (B.Sc H&HA).The Placement and Industrial Training Cell of the Institute provides training and placement in leading hotels. Campus interviews are held on the campus itself and most of the students got placed in prestigious hotels like Taj, I.T.C. Hotels, Oberoi, Radisson Hotels, Hyatt, Le- Meridien, Imperial, etc. and some students got jobs in overseas countries like Ireland and New Zealand and in international cruise lines as well. The institute organizes theme parties, outdoor catering and functions in local hotels during Christmas, New Year, World Tourism Day, Chef Competitions and other occasions to their students to gain experience during the sessions.
