Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali is an autonomous institute established in 2007 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). The main objective of establishing IISERs in different parts of India was to ensure quality education in the field of science at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and to carry out research in frontier areas of science.
