National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national-level institute in pharmaceutical sciences in India. It has a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER is declared by the Government of India as an 'Institute of National Importance'. NIPER Mohalil has been ranked 9th among Pharmacy college by NIRF ranking 2024. 

An autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India., it is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas. Admission to the master pharmacy courses, i.e M.Tech.(Pharm), M.S.(Pharm), MBA (Pharm.) is done on the basis of the GPAT score. Qualified candidates will be called to download the letter to attend online counselling in the month of June at the NIPER Hyderabad centre. Counselling is held in the last week of June at NIPER Hyderabad Campus.
