IPGMER is a medical college and hospital in Kolkata, West Bengal. IPGMER was previously called the Presidency College and became Seth Sukhlal Karnani Memorial Hospital post-independence. In 1957, it was finally named the  Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research.
