In 2007, the innovative self-financed Maharishi Arvind International Institute of Technology (MAIIT) was founded. Inspired by the life and ideas of the great thinker, philosopher, Yogi, and saint Shri Aurbindo, it is owned by the Arvind Bharti Vidyalaya Samiti. It occupies six acres on a verdant site in the upscale, contemporary neighbourhood of Kota. Six undergraduate engineering programs are available.

The AICTE in New Delhi has approved it.
It has ties to Kota's Rajasthan Technical University.
