Government Model Engineering College (MEC), located in Thrikkakara, Kochi, is a prestigious institution established in 1989 under the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD), Government of Kerala. MEC is the first engineering college established by the government in the self-financing sector and is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Admission Process

Admission to B.Tech programs is through the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance examination conducted by CEE Kerala. For M.Tech programs, admissions are based on GATE scores followed by a centralized counseling process conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Kerala.

Eligibility Criteria Admissions

B.Tech Eligibility
Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects and secured a valid KEAM score.

M.Tech Eligibility
Applicants should have a B.Tech or equivalent degree in a relevant stream and must qualify GATE for merit-based admission.
