North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong, is an autonomous premier medical institute established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Founded in 1987 and fully functional since 2001, it serves as a center of excellence in medical education, advanced treatment, and research in the North Eastern region of India.
