National Institute of Technology, [NIT] Agartala is spread over 29 acres. It has the necessary infrastructure to offer undergraduate courses. Library 

• Lending Service 8 to 8.
• A well-equipped reading room. The back-volume section contains a lot of information. There is an index and a reference section. The digital library has access to all e-journal resources.
• The NIT Agartala library has over 34,000 books and 200 journals.
• Scanning and high-speed copying are also available.

Computer 

• The NIT Agartala has a central computer lab with a centralised server.
• Every terminal has its own broadband connection.
• VSAT-ERNET provides dedicated Internet connections (for official purposes).
• Intranet enables file sharing and communication on campus.
• The entire campus is connected via Wi-Fi and a WiMAX wireless backbone.

Hostel

• The NIT Agartala hostel offers accommodation facilities for boys and girls. There are six boys hostels and two girls hostels. 
• Students who wish to remain in the hostel must complete a stipulated form for admission to the hostel and pay the required fees as determined by the relevant authorities.

Banking and Postal Services

• The State Bank of India operates a branch on the institute site with an ATM. NIT Agartala, PIN - 799046, is the post office name.

Medical Assistance

• NIT Agartala infrastructure has a well-equipped medical unit staffed by two senior medical officers, pharmacists, and other support staff. 
• It provides medical care to students, staff, and other visitors. Patients can be sent to the Jirania Rural Hospital (Primary Health Centre) 4 km distant or to the state hospital in Agartala in an emergency.

Communication

• The institute conducts private bus services from Agartala to the institute campus and back during working hours. In an emergency, several buses, jeeps, and private automobiles are available on NH-44. 
• All students must take the bus from Agartala to the institute campus. However, on rare occasions, students may be granted an exception.

Extra-Curricular Activities

• NIT Agartala facilities include co-curricular activities sponsored by the state government and other statutory bodies, such as games and sports, debates, cultural functions, essay competitions, drama competitions, rallies on various themes, NSS programs, etc. All students must take NSS or NCC as a mandatory course.
