Sambalpur University was set up in 1967 in the state of Odisha. The university covers almost 10 districts of the Odisha Legislature. It has NAAC Grade “A” accreditation and is UGC/MHRD recognized.

The University strives to provide academic excellence at par with all National and International standards of education. It has around 240 colleges affiliated with itself around the state of Odisha. Sambalpur University Eligibility Criteria

BA Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in 12th from a recognised board.

MBA Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must appear and qualify in the entrance exams MAT / CAT / JMAT / ATMA / XMAT and career mark and group discussion and/ or Viva-voce.
• Candidates must have pursued Honours in any subject or graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Ph.D Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in a Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university (5% relaxation will be offered to SC/ST/ PH candidates).
• Written Test score (Minimum 50% marks in order to qualify for this test) followed by Viva-Voce.
