Hostels

• SIT Group of Hostels has 5 boys and 2 girls hostels, out of which 4 are inside the campus and 3 hostels located in the town.
• Together the hostels can accommodate 1950 students in the area of 22700 Sq.m.
• Each hostel block is managed under the supervision of a Deputy Warden who is also a faculty member of SIT.
• Each room in the hostels is furnished with tables, chairs, cots, book racks and a ceiling fan.
• Parents and guardians of the students are provided accommodation in the guest house on nominal rent whenever they visit the college and wish to stay during their visits.

Sports Facilities

Sports and activities are encouraged at the college, which offers facilities to support them. A well-equipped gymnasium, basketball and volleyball courts, a cricket ground, a race track, a badminton court, and an indoor stadium are among the facilities available.

Library

• The library at SIT Tumkur is centrally located on the campus and is spread over an area of 1533 sq mts.
• The library has a collection of 1,01,554 volumes that includes 30,829 volumes under the book bank and about 11,574 volumes under the SC/ST book bank. The collection includes reference works such as Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Hand Books and Standards.
• The library has 152 Technical Periodicals, of which about 42 are International. It also has a collection of nearly 3267 Back Volumes of Periodicals.
• The library has subscriptions to the e-resources mandated by AICTE, i.e., IEEE(ASPP), EBSCO (Architecture), ELSEVIER (Engineering, Chemical, and Computer Science), J-Gate Engineering & Technology (JET), ASCE, ASTM Digital Library Online, McGraw- Hill's Access Engineering and Springer (EE, EC, Computer Science & Mechanical Engineering).
• The library has a membership with reputed libraries in Bangalore, like British Library, IIMB Library, NAL Library, and CMTI LIbrary.
• The seating capacity of the library is 450 users, which also includes two separate AC reading halls with a capacity of 150 users. 
• The library has a computer with WEB-enabled open-source software NewGenLib. The online public access catalogue can be accessed across the campus through OPAC, which facilitates a search of books by author and title.

Health Centre

• Health Centre is situated inside SIT Campus. The health centre has two doctors, one staff nurse, a male health worker, and two supporting staff.
• The Health Centre has computerized patient data and drug store details.
•  A neuropsychiatrist is also available for consultation every Wednesday in the evening hours (5.00 PM to 6.00 PM).

Incubation Centre

• It is one among 9 engineering colleges identified to set up incubation centres to promote entrepreneurship and innovation.
• The centre incubates up to 10 projects each year.
• Each project is executed by a team of entrepreneurs who are students or alumni.
• Each project gets funding of up to INR 3 lakhs.
