Thiruvalluvar University was laid out in the Vellore area of Tamilnadu by the Government of Tamilnadu in October 2002. The University was named after the incomparable Tamil Saint artist Thiruvalluvar. The University is situated in Serkadu around sixteen km away from Vellore city.
