University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata was established in the year2014. University of Engineering & Management (UEM) is a fully government-approved and UGC-recognized University with all the courses approved by AICTE. Bar Council of India has also approved the institute. The vision of UEM Kolkata University is to be globally recognized as a center of excellence in education and research, and to provide high-quality engineering and management graduates.

Admissions 2025

Admissions for 2025 are based on various entrance tests:

• BTech admissions are primarily through IEMJEE, while JEE Main or WBJEE scores may also be considered.

• BBA, BCA, BHM, and Law programs also require candidates to qualify for IEMJEE or equivalent assessments.

• MBA admissions require CAT, MAT, or WBJEMAT scores with a minimum percentile, followed by GD and PI.

• MCA admissions are based on JECA or UEM’s entrance test.

• PhD admissions are open for Engineering, Management, Biotechnology, Sciences, and Humanities with a qualifying written test and interview.

Eligibility

• BTech: Minimum 60 to 70 percent in Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

• BBA and BCA: Minimum 60 percent in Class XII in any stream.

• MBA and MCA: Graduation in a relevant stream and qualifying entrance score, followed by group discussion and a personal interview.

Placements (2024 rollout for 2025)

• A total of 1,559 students were placed across engineering and management disciplines.

• The highest salary package reached 72 LPA.

• The average salary offered was approximately 8.5 LPA, with most students receiving between 5.5 to 6.5 LPA.
