About the University

The University of Technology and Management, Meghalaya (now MIT University Meghalaya), was founded in 2011 in Shillong under UGC Act Section 3. It is part of the MIT Group of Institutions and was the first to pilot IBM-collaborated cloud computing engineering in India . Offering a mix of technology, design, management, social sciences, and engineering, it provides UG, PG, and PhD degrees through specialized schools in Management, Liberal Studies, Science & Technology, Design, Social Sciences, and more 

Rankings & Accreditation

Although MIT University isn’t currently featured in NIRF rankings, its sister institution’s NAAC 'A' grade in its first cycle shows commendable academic quality .
