AMU BA, B.Sc, and B.Com entrance exams are to be held on April 30, 2023. Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was the outcome of the dream of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. It is situated in a district of Uttar Pradesh, Aligarh. Initially, it was known as the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College in Aligarh, and after that, the name was changed to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in 1920. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate courses in medical sciences, applied sciences, law, engineering, humanities, and fine arts. Candidates seeking admission to UG and PG courses must appear in the CUET exam. The university provides the previous year's question papers on the official website to assist the students in preparing.

AMU was affiliated with the University of Calcutta and subsequently affiliated with the University of Allahabad in 1885. From its very beginning, the doors of AMU have been open to members belonging to any community and country in the world. AMU is open to all, irrespective of their creed, caste, gender, or religion. The university ranks 8th among the 20 research Universities in India. There are 19 halls of residence for students with 80 hostels.

AMU Admission 

AMU admission 2024 is based on the AMU Entrance exam, CUET-UG, ICAR AIEEEA, NET-JRF, and GATE scores. AMU PG and UG admission are begun by filling out the online application form with the correct details and applying for the respective national level exams. The UG courses at AMU include MBBA, BUMS, B.Com, and B.Sc. The PG programs include MDS, LLM, MBA, MTech, MCom, and MSc.  

AMU Eligibility Criteria

AMU offers courses in many fields of arts, social science, commerce, engineering, law, and architecture, to name a few. Admission to the courses is based on eligibility criteria failing to which students are not allowed to apply for the courses offered by AMU. MBBS/ BDS Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must pass the 10+2 examination(PCB) with 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Must secure a valid score in the NEET UG examination. 

B.Sc Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination with an aggregate of 55% from a recognized board in PCM/PCB.
  • A valid CUET-UG score

M.tech Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must have 50% in Graduation
  • A valid GATE score.

AMU Cutoff

AMU cutoff 2022 will release after the results of the AMU Entrance Exam, GATE, CUET-UG/PG, and entrance examination. The cutoff has been released for the NEET UG exam. The cutoff is released every academic year after the results for the exam as mentioned above are out. The cutoff is decided based on the number of candidates who appeared for the entrance examination, the previous year's cutoff statistics, the number of seats available for the course and the number of Applicants for a course.

AMU Result

AMU results for the 2022 entrance exam will be released in June 2022. The exams are conducted in April and May 2022. Students unsatisfied with their results can apply for revaluation before the mentioned date. The revaluation application process is online and can only be done through the official website. To check the results, students can follow the steps mentioned below.

  • On the AMU official website, click on "Admissions and Exam." 
  • You'll be directed to the admission website of the university. Then click on the "Result for Examination" link'. 
  • Students have to enter the Enrollment Number and Password and then click login.
  • Students will get to see their results.
