Global Academy of Technology

Global Academy of Technology (GAT), established in 2001, is an autonomous engineering and management college located in Bangalore, Karnataka. Affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), GAT offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various disciplines. The college is managed by D.K. Shivakumar, the President of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee.

Admission Process 2025

• Undergraduate (B.E.):

  • Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).

  • Entrance Exams: KCET or COMEDK UGET.

  • Application Period: January to March 2025.

  • Application Deadline: March 31, 2025.

  • Exam Dates:

    • KCET: April 16–17, 2025.

    • COMEDK UGET: May 25, 2025.

• Postgraduate (M.Tech & MBA):

  • Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

  • Entrance Exams:

    • M.Tech: GATE or Karnataka PGCET.

    • MBA: Karnataka PGCET or KMAT.

  • Application Period: April to May 2025.

  • Application Deadline: May 15, 2025.

Placement Overview 2025

GAT has a strong placement record with a dedicated placement cell that organizes seminars, workshops, and industrial visits to enhance employability. In the 2025 placement season, over 700 students were placed, with 750+ offers made. The highest package offered was ₹22 LPA, and the average package was ₹5.17 LPA. Top recruiters included Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Amazon, and Accenture.
