

Heritage Institute of Technology (HITK), Kolkata admits BTech students through WBJEE and JEE Main. Counseling for WBJEE typically starts in July 2025. Lateral entry is available through JELET. For MTech, candidates must be GATE-qualified. MCA admissions are based on graduation marks and JECA scores.
Eligibility
BTech: Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum of 45 percent marks and qualified WBJEE or JEE Main.
MTech: Must hold a BE or BTech degree along with a valid GATE or PGET score.
MCA: Graduate with a minimum of 50 percent and a mathematics background, with a valid JECA score.
BDes: Minimum 45 percent in 10+2 and qualified for MAKAUT CET.
Placement 2024–25
Heritage Institute of Technology has a strong placement cell. Around 150 companies visited the campus for the 2024–25 placement season, with over 1,200 offers rolled out and an overall placement rate of approximately 90 percent.
The average package offered was around 6 LPA.
The highest package reached up to 40 LPA.
Computer Science and IT branches received the highest average offers, followed by ECE, Electrical, and Mechanical.
