JIS College accepts students through various entrance exams.B.Tech admission is done on the score based on JEE Main, WBJEE. The institute also accepts entrance tests such as follows.

JEE Main Entrance Exam

JEE Main is a national-level exam for admission in various B.Tech colleges in India such as State colleges and NITs.

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria

1. There is no age limit.
2. Candidates must have appeared for their class 12th or equivalent Exam in 2018 or 2019. Candidates appearing for their qualifying exams in 2024 are also eligible.
3. It is compulsory to have studied at least five subjects in class 12th/ qualifying Examination. Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/ qualifying Examination in order out of which Physics and Mathematics must be compulsory subjects along with one - Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.

WBJEE 

WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam) is a state entrance exam conducted yearly for admission to various government and private engineering colleges in West Bengal.

JIS College of Engineering UG Admission 2024

Students need to appear in JEE Main, WBJEE, or CEE AMPAI to get admission to the college. Students should make sure that they are eligible for college. College offers B.Tech in many specializations. It also offers BBA and BCA courses as undergraduate courses.

JIS College of Engineering UG Admission Eligibility Criteria

• For B.Tech course candidates must be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age. There is no upper age limit. Candidates must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/ Board with Individual pass marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science). Minimum of 45% marks in the above subjects taken together as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks in the said qualifying examination. Valid Rank of qualifying examination (WBJEE/ JEE (Main)/ CEE-AMPAI-WB).
• Candidates must be Higher Secondary/ 12th standard pass with ENGLISH as a subject from a recognized Board in order to take admission in BBA course.
• Candidates for BCA course must be Higher Secondary/ 12th standard pass with English and Computer Application/ Mathematics/ Informatics Practices Computer Science/ Statistics as a subject from a recognized Board.

JIS College of Engineering PG Admission 2024

Admission to postgraduate admission is done based on merit in GATE/ PGET/ AMPAI-W /WB-JE MAT. Postgraduate courses offered are M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. M.Tech is offered with different specializations.

JIS College of Engineering PG Admission Eligibility Criteria

• For M.Tech candidates must be a B.E/ B.Tech Graduate/ M.Sc in the respective field with a valid rank of GATE/ PGET/ AMPAI-WB.
• For MBA interested candidates must pass Graduation (In any stream) or equivalent examination from a recognized University/ Institute with a valid rank/ score of MAT (conducted by AIMA)/ WB-JE MAT (conducted by WBUT)/ AMPAI - WB.
