Thapar University Placement Cell

The university has a placement cell, popularly known as the Center for Industrial Liaison and Placement (CILP), that strives hard to provide the best placement opportunities for students. The Thapar University placement cell organises various engagements like internships, expert talks, research collaborations, consultancy, industry inputs in curriculum, etc. CILP is responsible for conducting campus recruitments by inviting national and international recruiters. Various placement training sessions, mock interviews, workshops, seminars, etc., are conducted by the cell to prepare students for final placements.

Thapar University Placement Process

The placement cell of Thapar University organises annual placement drives for eligible students of all courses. The step-by-step process for organising Thapar University placements is given below.

• Recruiters organises Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) to present themselves to students.
• Students who fulfill the basic academic requirements set by recruiters are invited to apply for the recruitment process.
• Recruiters then organise a selection process either online or on campus on decided dates.
• Proctored Technical Tests, Aptitude Tests, Group Discussions (GD), Technical Interviews, etc. will be conducted to shortlist students.
• Offer letters are issued to selected students through CILP.

Internships are an integral part of Thapar University's curriculum and students have to complete their internship to complete their course. The duration of Thapar University internships is 6 to 8 weeksand most of them are paid.
