VIT Campus Facilities:

Below are the given facilities provided by the institute.

Library: The Central Library of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology was established in 1984. The main object of the Central Library is to support the educational & research programs of the Institute by providing physical and intellectual access to information, consistent with the present and the anticipated educational and research functions of the institute. The Central library consists of Reference Section, Journal Section, Reading Hall, and Stack-Room. The library has a unique collection of Encyclopedia, Handbooks, Textbooks, Journals, Video Cassettes, CD ‘S, B.I.Standards, Video courses etc. The library uses SLIM 21 software. This software consists of modules of Acquisitions, Cataloguing Circulation, Serial Control, Article Indexing, and WEB OPAC. The circulation system of books is based on Bar- Code.

Internet Lab: Internet lab-Yes, an Internet facility is available for students and staff members. The internet laboratory is open from 8-00 a.m. to 8-00 p.m. Wi-Fi facility is available within the campus. Students have to register their Laptops and then they can use this facility within the campus and hostel.

Medical Facility: Medical facility Yes, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is signed with Chintamani Hospital. A doctor from Chintamani Hospital visits the campus daily and performs initial check-ups of students and staff.

Canteen & Cafeteria: Canteen and Cafeteria – Both the facilities are available on the campus.

Parking: Separate parking for students, staff, four-wheelers is available.

Sports Ground: Sports Ground - Yes. Facility for Indoor / Outdoor games is available. Students are participating in All India Inter-University, State Level Tournaments, Pune City Inter-collegiate tournaments every year.

Gymnasium: Gymnasium is well equipped and it is opened from early morning and evening for the students.

Auditorium: Auditorium - Fully furnished AC auditorium with a seating capacity of 700, PA system, and all other facilities are available. Student meetings, staff meetings, seminar workshops, international conferences are regularly held in this auditorium.
