Darbhanga College Of Engineering

Darbhanga College of Engineering (DCE), formerly known as Jagannath Mishra Institute of Technology (JMIT), was established in 2008 by the Government of Bihar. Located in Mabbi, P.O. Lal Sahpur, Darbhanga, Bihar, the college is affiliated with Bihar Engineering University, Patna, and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

DCE offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, including B.Tech and M.Tech degrees. The college is known for its strong academic curriculum, experienced faculty, and a commitment to producing skilled engineers.

Undergraduate Programs (B.Tech)

DCE offers the following B.Tech programs:

Each program has an intake of 60 students, except Fire Technology & Safety Engineering and Cyber Security which have 30 seats each.

Admission Process

B.Tech Admissions

Admission to the B.Tech programs is based on the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE), conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. Candidates must appear for both the Screening and Main Examination of BCECE.

M.Tech Admissions

Admission to the M.Tech program is based on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores. Candidates must have a valid GATE score to be eligible.

• Hostel Fee: Approximately ₹7,000 per year

• Mess Charges: Approximately ₹3,200 per month
