Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) is a prominent public university located in Darbhanga, Bihar, India. Established on August 5, 1972, by an ordinance of the Government of Bihar, the university was named in honor of Lalit Narayan Mishra, a notable Indian politician. Initially operating from Mohanpur House, it moved to the historic Raj Darbhanga campus in 1975. The university's jurisdiction spans four districts: Darbhanga, Madhubani, Samastipur, and Begusarai.
