Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU)

Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) is a state university situated in Guwahati, Assam. Established in 2006 under the KKHSOU Act, 2005, the university aims to provide quality higher education through open and distance learning, making education accessible to all, irrespective of age, academic background, or geographical location.

Recognition and Affiliation

KKHSOU is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956, empowering it to confer degrees. It is also approved by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB), New Delhi, ensuring the legitimacy of its programs. The Government of Assam recognizes all degrees, diplomas, and certificates offered by the university for government employment and higher studies.
