NIT Silchar
The National Institute of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar or NITS) is one of India's 31 National Institutes of Technology. Founded in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College, it was upgraded to NIT status in 2002 and declared an Institute of National Importance in 2007. Located in Silchar, Assam, the institute spans 625 acres and offers a blend of academic excellence and vibrant campus life.
