Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech. (Bio-Engineering and Bio-Informatics)

To be eligible for admission to the M.Tech. program in Bio-Engineering and Bio-Informatics at Sharda University, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Academic Qualifications:

  • B.Tech. in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, B.Pharma with a minimum of 60% marks OR
  • M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Life Sciences (Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Physiology, Medicinal Chemistry, Agriculture) with a minimum of 60% marks.

Entrance Examination:

  • Candidates who have qualified for GATE or NET will be preferred, but it is not a mandatory requirement.

First Year

The first year focuses on building a strong foundation in core concepts of bioengineering, biotechnology, and bioinformatics. Students will acquire knowledge in molecular biology, computational biology, biomedical engineering, and relevant engineering subjects.
