Sikkim Manipal University is located near the West Bengal – Sikkim border in Majitar, East Sikkim. The campus is spread over 35 acres, surrounded by verdant hills gifted with nature's finest gifts on the banks of the Teesta River. Library:Teachers, research scholars, and students use the central library for academic and research purposes. The Sikkim Manipal University library provides books, periodicals, and current information on various topics. It is a two-storey structure with a carpeted surface of 2960 square metres. The library has a total sitting capacity of 428 people. For online access to e-journals and e-books, the library is a member of DELNET. The library LAN has been integrated into the campus-wide network, allowing academics from many departments to access the material.

Hostel:SMU Gangtok provides a home away from home for nearly 3000 students, with separate accommodation for males and girls. Boys and girls have their mess and canteen, which serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. All Sikkim Manipal University hostel rooms are well-furnished with attached bathrooms. A few single (ac/non-ac) and double occupancy (ac) rooms are available at the hostel. Throughout the year, there is a continuous supply of energy and water. 

Medical Facilities: The Sikkim Manipal University has a 24-hour health centre with five beds, two resident doctors, two nurses, and a medical attendant. The medical team handles both routine and emergency medical problems. All cases that require a specialist's opinion are sent to Gangtok's Central Referral Hospital. Two ambulances are stationed on campus to transport medical cases to CRH.

Security: The SMU Gangtok infrastructure ensures the safety of students, professors, and visitors. The home guards and security personnel guard the campus. A total of 50 security guards are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
