Failing in the 5th semester at Mumbai University is not the end of your academic journey, but it does require immediate attention and action. You will need to clear the failed subjects in supplementary (ATKT) exams conducted by the university, usually alongside the next semester exams. Until you pass these subjects, your degree completion may be delayed. However, you can still continue with your 6th semester classes and appear for final exams, provided your number of ATKTs is within the university’s permissible limit. It's essential to stay in touch with your college exam cell for revaluation deadlines, ATKT exam schedules, and academic support.
Yes, having an ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credits ID) is now compulsory for Mumbai University students as part of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 implementation. The ABC ID enables students to digitally store and manage their academic credits, simplifying transfers between institutions and ensuring better academic record management. Mumbai University has made it mandatory for all new admissions and ongoing students to generate their ABC ID through the official DigiLocker portal. Without this ID, students may face issues during admission, exam registration, or when applying for degree certificates, so it's essential to create and link it early in the academic process.
